Using This Notice
Required pre-condition for mechanics lien, stop payment notice, and payment bond claim rights on private works projects under Cal. Civ. Code § 8200 et seq. Must be served within 20 days of first furnishing labor or materials. Service required on the owner, direct contractor, and any construction lender. Use the public works version (separately available) for projects on public property.
