Located near the Texas State Capitol on Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, the office reflects the firm's pattern of state-capitol-adjacent locations. Texas insurance recovery work is high-frequency, driven by severe weather events that recur with substantial regularity: Gulf hurricanes, North Texas hail storms, drought-related crop losses, and the February 2021 winter storm that triggered the ERCOT market crisis and unprecedented commercial litigation across the state's energy sector.
The Austin office is the operational center for policyholder-side insurance recovery across Texas and Oklahoma, with parallel commercial litigation work for clients across the region. The team handles property damage and business interruption coverage disputes, bad-faith litigation against carriers, freeze-event recovery work continuing from the 2021 winter storm, and the equipment failure and supply chain claims that follow severe weather events. Office Managing Partner Vincent Gambini relocated from a Brooklyn litigation practice in 2014 to establish the Austin office and continues to lead it, by all accounts having never fully adapted to the Texas heat.
